Working with Themes at Sherborne House
Sherborne House was a place for inner work and spiritual development. Established in 1970, and continuing until 1975, this "Fourth Way School" undertook to prepare men and women for the work of continuous spiritual transformation in search of imperishable being. This book is a rare legacy from that time of work with JG Bennett and contains timeless techniques for seeing into reality.
Chapters: The Thematic Technique; Freedom from Like and Dislike; Material Objects; Food; Noticing. This edition combines the five original Coombe Springs Press editions with some new material. Themes are more than ideas to be thought about. They are aspects of practical wisdom: how to live. This wisdom can be awakened by making an active contact with our own experience. Observation is not enough and thinking is totally inadequate.
